Anime fans, especially those across the large Latinx community have been waiting patiently for “Seis Manos” to be released. That wait is almost over. Netflix announced their October lineup last week and “Seis Manos” is set for release on October 3rd. The show combines Latinx cultural mythology with that of the kung-fu genre and is based on three main kung-fu characters that together have ‘seis manos’ (six hands). It will be released in both English and Spanish.
The main character named Isabell is a serious kung-fu fighter. And because the production team felt that within the Latinx community it was very important to portray female strength in an action genre which is usually male dominated, other strong women characters are there to support her. The vocals are contributed by some big time Latinx super stars including Aislinn Derbez from La Casa de las Flores, Mike Colter of Luke Cage, Jonny Cruz from Overwatch, Mexican soap star Angelica Vale, Vic Chao from Mortal Kombat X, and the legendary Danny Trejo from Machete. Gear up Latinx anime fans, “Seis Manos” llegarå pronto!
