Ozuna’s Fast Lane to Stardom Recognized by Guinness World Records

Ozuna’s rise to the top of the music industry has been lightening fast. He ascended from nowhere to the top of reggaeton and trap music internationally. A lot of his success can be traced to his following on You Tube, where his view numbers are off the charts. The Puertorriqueno’s success from his first two albums, Odisea (2017) and Aura (2018), has landed him in the Guiness Book of World Records.

Here are the additional accomplishments Ozuna has earned in his short career:

  • Male artist with the most weeks at number one on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart – Odisea, which logged 46 non-consecutive weeks from September 2017 tthru 1 September 2018.
  • Most Billboard Latin Music Award wins for a single artist in a single year – 11 awards.
  • Most Billboard Latin Music Award nominations for a single artist in a single year – 23 nominations
  • Artist with the most video views on YouTube – one billion

Ozuna is only 27 years old. When considering the fact that Daddy Yankee, the consensus king of reggaeton, is 42 years old, Ozuna still has a lot of career left to leave his mark. He’s most known stateside for his feature role on ‘Taki Taki’, a song which includes Cardi B and Selena Gomez among other big time artists. Ozuna sold out his U.S. tour this past year and is expected to release his next album before the end of 2019.
