C. Tangana, one of the most recognized and coveted artists to come out of Spain, has enlisted breakout female artist Paloma Mami, for a long awaited collaboration, “No Te Debí Besar“. The song was produced by Tangana himself along with his go-to, renowned producer Alizzz and was written by C. Tangana and Paloma. “No Te Debí Besar” is the Chilean-American singer-songwriter’s first collaboration.

I met Paloma thanks to Flaca (@flacaganbang), an artist from CHICA, a collective platform that serves as a network for all the women who make music in Spanish. ‘Not Steady’ only had 50,000 views, but I knew from the get go that Paloma had something special. It’s an honor for me to work with artists like her,” commented C. Tangana.

“No Te Debí Besar” is El Madrileño’s follow up to his latest single, “Para Repartir“. A song in which Pucho naturally relied on Alizzz’s one of a kind producing to find the right balance between his inevitable European musical sensibility and the warmth of Afro-Caribbean rhythms;; and to which they now also add Paloma Mami‘s striking presence.

Paloma Mami notes, “When we recorded, No Te Debí Besar with C. Tangana, it was the first time that we actually got together in the studio after more than a year of him being interested in working with me.And when we met and got into the studio, creativity flowed very organically between us, and in the end, we recorded a song that we both truly love“.

In addition to the sultry sound, the music video, directed by Rogelio and produced by CANADA, manages to visually take full advantage of this duo’s magnetism on the screen. Tangana and Paloma Mami like each other in their roles of a deadbeat and femme fatale and star in a little nightlife story about violence and heartbreak, shot in a purely orgasmic cinematic style.

C. Tangana and Paloma Mami will kick off a promotional tour in the United States with stops in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami next week in support of their new collaboration. “No Te Debí Besar” is available on all digital platforms starting  today.
